This oven roasted chicken wing recipe is so delicious! An interesting fact about this recipe is that the chicken wings are coated in cornstarch (among other spices) before going into the oven.

  • Your favourite BBQ Sauce (try our Jack Daniel's BBQ Sauce)
  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumette and wingette separated, and tips discarded) (approx. 12 wings or 24 pieces))
  • ½ tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbs cornstarch
  1. Preheat oven to 375 ºF
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Toss the wings in the dry ingredients.
  4. Place a cooling rack on a baking sheet and apply cooking spray over the cooling rack.
  5. Distribute the coated chicken wings on the cooling rack.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast the wings for 50 minutes.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  8. Pour one cup of BBQ sauce in a container.
  9. Using tongs, move the hot wings to the same container.
  10. Cover with a lid and toss to coat the wings with the wing sauce.
  11. Serve hot with your favourite sides.
