Homemade peanut butter with cinnamon

Homemade, creamy, natural and sugar free. This peanut butter is easy to make, less expensive and so much healthier than most store-bought peanut butter.

  • 2 cups unsalted roasted peanuts, shelled
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt (1/4 tsp if using fine salt)
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame seed oil
  1. Add the peanuts, cinnamon and salt to a food processor or powerful blender.

  2. Pulse 4 or 5 times until the peanuts are broken into tiny pieces.

  3. Process or blend for 1 minute and use a rubber spatula to push down the peanuts from the sides.

  4. Process or blend for 1 1/2 more minutes and use a rubber spatula to push down the peanuts from the sides. Note, it should start looking creamy at this stage.

  5. Process or blend for 1 last minute. During this last minute, pour in the sesame seed oil slowly through the top opening.

  6. You should now have a spreadable delicous peanut butter. Use it right away or place it in the fridge to let it set a bit.

  7. Enjoy on toast, apple slices or anywhere else you love eating peanurt butter!

Recipe Notes

Store the peanut butter in the fridge in an airtight container, and it will last 2 to 3 weeks.
